a return to feminine power
As we strive to connect with the universe to unlock its secrets and our innate potential — the divine feminine has been a potent concept in human history.
The manifestation of feminine energy in the universe is the energy inside everyone associated with creativity, fertility, and intuitive thinking. It is a sacred power source that is both integral to the nature of the universe and inherent in ourselves.
All through history the divine feminine is revered and deified as the foundation of all creation. In many cultures — then and now — the Mother Goddess is a matriarchal archetype represented frequently in art and found in various mythologies around the world.
The Mother Goddess is often referred to as Mother Earth or Terra Madre. Mother Nature, Mother Gaia. We find goddess religions in many parts of the world — long before patriarchal beliefs eclipsed most of them.
Societies were structured and operated around these goddess religions presided over by a collective of priestesses who are dedicated to the particular path, ritual or ceremony practiced.
Whether depicted as compassionate or fierce, divine or demonic, selfless or selfish — women have ruled the world.
Women were assigned a significant role as religious leaders in these matriarchal societies. They developed generally peaceful cultures with little dogma or restriction — until the rise of the warrior societies.
Today most of the major religions of the world — Islam, Christianity, and Judaism — have a male God. The only thing that testifies to the existence of a completely different world that celebrates the sacred female comes from the evidence of ancient artifacts from the distant past.
Divine femininity is a form of energy that all beings possess. It is known by many names such as shakti, yin, or lunar energy. It is often connected symbolically with the moon, the goddess Gaia, and the element of water. Equally sharing with divine masculine its half of the spirit of life.
Both energies arise mutually, and in their most natural state are meant to work together — smoothly and harmoniously. This original state of being are observed or represented in ancient symbols of duality — like the yin yang, double spiral / helix, or the ouroboros.
Current times are calling on us to defund destructive masculinity for a more healing feminine touch. Time to upset the status quo once more. Flip our current world on its head and repair the damage — while opportunities still exist.
