For our Easter feast this year, we went with Myron Mixon’s Pitmaster Barbeque from close by Hoboken, New Jersey. Going whole hog with Myron’s award-winning competition recipes of the best sourced meats cooked in his custom-built smokers.
Myron’s signature ribs with sidings of his own father’s recipe for collard greens plus his mama’s coleslaw are the ticket to seventh heaven. Soft and tender, fall off the bone sweetness does valiant battle with some tangy hog sauce.
Inducted into the Barbecue Hall Fame in Kansas City and awarded the Carolyn and Gary Well “Pioneer of Barbeque” Award by the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue — these are some serious multi-awardees to fill our bellies.
Beans may be the traditional BBQ side we know and love, but this original recipe adds peaches to honor Myron’s home state of Georgia. They bring a mouth full of summer sunshine into every bite.
TV personality, cookbook author and multi-awarded world champion, Myron has his own line of top selling products. Smokers and grills, sauces and dry rubs, even a cooking school of his very own popular brand.
