Traditionally a shaman is tasked with keeping the tribe healthy by predicting the future accurately. To do so the shaman steps into alternate dimensions usually in dream time. It is the shaman’s role to dream a world into being.
The Maya believed in cyclical and not linear time, where all is suspended in nothing and everything happens all at once. They call it Time of No Time, where we can go in any direction we want by dreaming it. Our dreams can shift the course of the world, in a moment and for all eternity.
[W]e stand at the end of prehistory. Nature is deregulating human affairs faster than a lobbyist can buy a politician. Global weirding is upon us.
We’re in the endgame of the Dim Ages: the collision between the state of nature and the nature of the state. Our civilization is a failed state.
The big wheels are turning. We face a reckoning: transform or perish. It’s emergence in an emergency.
There’s as much cause for hope as for horror.
Then a worldwide pandemic descended and here we all act so surprised. Like one has nothing to do with the other. It’s go time folks — the crisis is real and no longer existential. All over the world and here at home folks are dying by the thousands as we chase an invisible culprit in utter chaos and confusion.
Shamanism Summit is an annual life-enhancing gathering, forging a clear pathway through the turbulence and confusion of our present world to explore deeper states of unity, sacred connection, and heart-healing possibilities. For 2020 it includes shamans, animists, mystics and other teachings.
It is a gathering of shared wisdom from our elders, sages, and earth custodians for this new generation and life change of global transformation and rebirth. Shining more light on these dark times to raise human vibrations to better resonate with our planet and cosmos.
They are a remarkable group of speakers across a wide array of traditions and lineages, supporting us to reconnect to ancient medicine paths, get grounded in our unique purpose at this time, and be of greater service.
The personal practice and ancestral wisdom they offer can help us more seamlessly juxtapose human heartfelt passion, healing humor, and enhancing inspiration. They have valuable tools we can easily access anytime to assist us now and always.
Growing together and being better allies and partners who as co-hearts tackle climate, inequality, the imperative of the Green New Deal with ageless wisdom from our ancestors and our descendants.
One and all, we are stronger. A’ho! Aloha! Mabuhay!
