giving thanks

What a year it’s been! Terrifying, stressful, disastrous, upsetting, tumultuous. And yet, this month especially, there is much to be grateful for. . . .and much to hope and work towards!

home delivered organic groceries

People have lost work, time, loved ones this year. We’ve fought exhausting battles, with wildly different results. But we are still here, so we are thankful. We want everyone to have a place to come home to.

fresh colorful veggies for roasting

We remember and honour our lost family and friends. We are thankful for the time we had with them, and the memories they left us. We pray that more people may be saved, that their families can have more time with them.

sage, onion & mushroom stuffing

We are thankful that we can eat, that we have an appetite for our food. We taste it and smell it, we learn how to cook food well and we can afford to make enough to eat through the next few days. We want this for everyone.

into the warm oven they all go

We are thankful that even though we can’t be with our family for the holidays, we can see and speak to them. We can see their faces and hear them laugh (connection permitting!). We want every scattered family to have this privilege.

baked stuffing — smells delish!
veggies smell great too

We have drinkable water, fresh vegetables, and meat that is safe to eat and ethically farmed. We’re thankful to have this sustenance and we want to be responsible for the Earth that feeds us.

We love learning to cook and finding recipes on the Internet! Shared knowledge is a gift in isolated times and we want to keep it free and fair for everyone.

a hearty feast of lamb, veggies, stuffing

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and may our gratitude inspire us to help our less fortunate fellow beings. We hope for a brighter and kinder year, and to always remember to be thankful.

after all that. . . .let’s have [cheese] cake!
